When I decided to embark on my plant-based eating adventure I knew that I was going to have to figure out how to still be able to enjoy the foods I love. Pizza is one of my favorite foods to make and consume. I knew that I could come up with a way to enjoy it in a plant friendly way. I embarked on a journey to develop a recipe for easy vegan pizza I could enjoy at home. Read More
Ah February….the month of love! So far my month has been crazy busy between work and my personal life so I am looking forward to things hopefully slowing down a bit in the next few weeks.
Listed below are the things that I have been loving lately. I hope you love them too 🙂 Read More
Planning a wedding in six months wasn’t the easiest task but it was the best decision for Jeff and I. We are so glad that we did it, we still talk about how happy we are that we decided to only be engaged for a short time.
Jeff and I met in college and dated for over 6 years. When Jeff moved to Ann Arbor last January we had been talking about our future and pretty much knew that we wanted to get married fairly soon.
As I said in my previous post, one of my New Year’s resolutions was to read more. Since the start of 2017 I have made it a goal to read every single night before bed. I have been trying to steer clear of getting sucked into the endless scroll of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter before catching some z’s.

Okay, so it technically hasn’t been a month…sue me
My journey with plant-based eating began several years ago. After watching a documentary in college I had a brief stint of eating “vegan”. I put it in quotes because I told myself I was trying, but in reality I would make meals that I thought were vegan and binge eat taco bell on the weekends.
I wanted to share some of my favorite photos from our wedding day. I hope you enjoy 🙂

I don’t know about you but I love the month of January. While the weather in Michigan is not so pleasant, January signifies a fresh start. A whole month for me to pretend like I’m actually going to start working out regularly and cleaning up after myself.
I wanted to share some of the things I have been loving this month! Read More
I have always enjoyed journaling and documenting major events/milestones in my life. I found writing down how I was feeling or what I was up to was therapeutic. I could express all of my dark and twisty emotions inside the pages of my journal instead of lashing out at family and/or friends. Reading through the entries I wrote between the years of 2008-2013 is truly horrifying and I will surely die of embarrassment if anyone reads what I wrote about my high school crushes or the diagrams I drew to show how I was going to pass my driving test.
This past weekend I was able to travel to NYC to visit one of my oldest friends, Melissa Kereji. We have been friends for over 20 years and have always remained close despite living in separate states for the past 8 years.
Last spring, Melissa moved to New York from Nashville and since she arrived we have been talking about planning a girls weekend. Last weekend we were finally able to make it happen! Two other girlfriends, Andrea Shirey and Melissa Rentfrow, also made the trip to the big apple.
We had so much fun in beautiful Montego Bay, Jamaica! Most of our days were spent at the beach reading. Meredith read 3 books and Jeff read 1.5, we are pretty proud of that! We really enjoyed the quality time and break from every day life.
Our trip began with an early flight out of Detroit, we left for Charlotte at 8:30 and then Charlotte to Montego Bay at 11:30
