It’s been a whirlwind few weeks. As most of you know, we were in Denmark and Norway (trip was amazing, post coming soon) all last week. We got back to the states on Sunday afternoon and ever since then I feel like I’ve just been sprinting from task to task.
WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!! AHHHHHH!!
Our home buying experience overall was not too bad. In Ann Arbor, the market is absolutely insane. As in, we went to an open house 5 minutes after it started and there were already 30 people there — not exaggerating.
Jeff found this house on Zillow and saw there was an open house that day. I was hesitant thinking ‘it’s really small, it needs a lot of work, etc” but once we got there we both had a really good feeling about it. We made an offer and got the house!
I am so excited to start renovations but before that….some before photos. Yikes!
We are focusing our renovations on the kitchen and bathroom. The bedrooms pretty much just need a new coat of paint.
For those of you who don’t know, my dad designs custom cabinetry. It’s always been a dream of mine to work with my dad to renovate my own house. He’s incredibly talented and it’s so cool to watch him work. He has the ability to walk into a room and see potential that the average eye cannot. So basically he’s the OG home renovator, step aside Joanna Gaines.
I can’t wait to share with you all of our updates! I will do my best to capture the transformation along the way.
